Abadias Morales Named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – Winners of three of its four matches this spring, the University of Richmond women's tennis team is off to a strong start to the 2016 season.
Leading the way is senior Anna Abadias Morales, who after a 2-0 week this past week, was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week.
Abadias Morales was 2-0 in both singles and doubles action, helping the Spiders earn wins over in-state foes George Mason and Longwood.
Playing in the top spot in the lineup, she defeated Mason's Brittany Pilkington (7-5, 7-5) and Longwood's Anna Pelak (6-2, 6-4).
In doubles, she teamed with Gaby Rosales to defeat Mason's top doubles team (7-5) and Longwood's top duo (6-3).
Abadias Morales and her teammates are back in action on Saturday, February 13 against Navy.
