FAIRFAX, Va. – The Spider Baseball team fell in a doubleheader at George Mason on Saturday afternoon.
Game 1 Recap
It was a pitcher's duel in game one of the Saturday twinbill that was decided in extra innings. However, the Spiders fell to George Mason, 1-0.
Tim Miller was stellar in his seven innings of work as he only allowed two hits and struck out seven, one shy of his career high.

With two outs in the fifth, the Spiders chipped away at Mason's lead. Vinny Capra doubled to left and scored on a single from Daniel Brumbaugh, making it a one-run game, 2-1. A pair of hits in the sixth allowed the Patriots to extend their lead, 4-1. They'd add one more in the eighth to make it 5-1.
