Haynes Named A-10 Rookie of the Week

UNIVERISTY OF RICHMOND, Va. – For the first time in her career, University of Richmond women's tennis freshman Adrienne Haynes has earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors.

Haynes helped the Spiders to a perfect 3-0 weekend this past week, going 3-0 in singles play at No. 6. The freshman started things off with a 6-1, 6-1 defeat of Rhode Island's Paige Alshon on Friday, while also pairing with Gaby Rosales in doubles to take a 6-2 win on court 2.

On Saturday, Haynes once again was victorious in singles, taking down Elon's Kirsten Ward 6-2, 6-2 to clinch the 4-2 win for Richmond. In the Spiders' 4-1 win over UNCG on Sunday, the rookie downed Tayah Cross in singles action, 6-3, 6-1.
