Spiders Add Helene Heiberg for 2018-19

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond women's tennis head coach Mark Wesselink has announced the signing of Helene Heiberg for the 2018-19 season.

A native of Oslo, Norway, Heiberg comes to Richmond from the Wang Sports Academy and is a member of the Norwegian national tennis team.

Heiberg won the Norwegian U19 Championships in 2016 after representing Norway at the 2015 European Championships in Turkey. An ITF doubles title holder, she competed at the 2017 senior Norwegian Championships, qualifying for the double final.

Heiberg is also a member of the Nordstrand Tennisclub (NTK), one of the best clubs in Norway with tennis players who are ranked highly both nationally and internationally. NTK qualified for the Norwegian Championship final in 2016.
