09/02/2019 | Football, General, Spider Athletic Fund
The buz becomes real this Thursday when Spider Talk with Coach Russ Huesman premieres at its new home, Buz & Ned's Real Barbecue, 8205 West Broad Street. Coach Huesman will be joined by senior safety Trent Williams (Chester/Thomas Dale) and graduate transfer wide receiver Keyston Fuller (Griffin, Ga/Duke).
The popular lunchtime program will be held Thursdays from noon-1pm, hosted by "Voice of the Spiders" Bob Black and heard live on ESPN Richmond's 99.5 & 102.7 FM and 950 AM, as well as online at RichmondSpiders.com and espnrichmond.com. An audio archive of each week's show is available on the SpiderTV page and in the Audio Vault at espnrichmond.com.
Williams, making his 12th career start, recorded five tackles in last Thursday's season-opening 38-19 Spider victory over visiting Jacksonville. Fuller, in his first Spider game and start after playing 26 games the past two seasons for Duke, grabbed three passes for 27 yards.
Fans, alums and corporate partners are encouraged to attend the live show at Buz & Ned's, which will feature Coach Huesman and weekly player guests, as well as game highlights shown on the big screen prior to the show. Listeners and fans can interact during the show, and anytime, by submitting questions and comments online.
