UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- Spiders junior guard Blake Francis has a fractured sternum, the University of Richmond announced Thursday. Francis suffered the injury during a scramble for a loose ball with two minutes remaining in Richmond's game against Saint Louis on January 11th. His expected recovery time is between four and six weeks.Â
Francis is averaging 17.6 points per game this season, most on the Spiders and fourth-highest in the Atlantic 10. This is his first season on the court for Richmond after he sat out the 2018-19 season following his transfer from Wagner, where he was an All-NEC selection and set the school record for three-pointers in a season.Â
