Richmond Starts Road Week At George Mason

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond women's basketball team will head out on the road for two critical road games starting with George Mason on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 7 p.m. at EagleBank Arena.
A-10 STANDINGS UPDATE – 4 GAMES REMAINING
The Richmond Spiders (5-7) are currently tied for ninth in the Atlantic 10 standings with four games remaining. Richmond owns head-to-head tiebreakers against #4 Davidson (7-5), #6 Duquesne (6-6), #10 La Salle (5-7) and #12 St. Bonaventure (4-9). The Spiders are hoping to finish as one of the top eight seeds to host the first round of the A-10 Championship on Tuesday, March 3.

Nicole Cardano-Hillary leads the team in scoring at 17.8 points per game, second most in the A-10. Cardano-Hillary leads the team with 36 three-pointers and is 96-for-126 from the free throw line. LAST TIME OUT
Richmond fell to 12-14 overall and 5-7 in Atlantic 10 play with a 64-47 loss at home against Fordham. The Spiders were held to just 47 points, their second lowest of the season. Richmond shot 37.8 percent from the field (17-for-45) and hit 6-for-14 from the three-point line but finished with a season-high 27 turnovers.
Senior Jaide Hinds-Clarke earned her 13th double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds against the Rams. Sophomore Claire Holt added 10 points, scoring in double-figures for the eighth-straight game. Alex Parson had nine points and Kate Klimkiewicz scored eight points. The Richmond bench only had six points after 39 points from the bench in the previous game.
The Spiders only trailed 29-27 at halftime but Fordham had a strong third quarter. The Rams outscored Richmond, 21-9, in the third to take control of the game.
