Leckie Named Second Team All State

RICHMOND, Va. – Graduate transfer Dan Leckie (Suffield, Conn.) earned second team All-State honors as awarded by the Virginia Association of Sports Information Directors (VaSID) as announced Wednesday afternoon. Leckie earned the award as a utility fielder, playing five different positions throughout the season, all while leading the Spiders in doubles.
Leckie played a combination of first base, second base, left field, center field and right field playing in all 17 games this year making 15 starts. He hit for a .283 average, connecting on 17 hits and leading the team with four doubles on the season. The jack-of-all-trades defender drove in nine runs and led the team with four stolen bases.
