Atlantic 10 Announces Women’s Basketball 2020-21 Conference Pairings

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced Monday the 2020-21 women's basketball schedule pairings. The Spiders will play home-and-home series against VCU, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
The league's 14 members will once again play a 16-game conference schedule in the upcoming season, which allows teams to face every opponent once and three teams twice.
The Spiders' home games this season will include Saint Joseph's, George Washington, George Mason, La Salle, St. Bonaventure, UMass, Rhode Island and VCU. Richmond will play on the road at Dayton, Davidson, Saint Louis, Fordham, Duquesne, UMass, Rhode Island and VCU.
In the first season for head coach Aaron Roussell the Spiders went 7-9 in A-10 play and earned a road win in the A-10 first round tournament game at George Washington (W, 57-49) on March 3. Richmond will face crosstown rival VCU twice for the eighth straight season.
The Spiders complete 2020-21 conference schedule with dates and times will be released at a later date. The 2021 Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship is scheduled be played March 5-7 at VCU's Stuart C. Siegel Center in Richmond, Va., with the first round hosted on campus sites on March 2.
