Men's Tennis Announces Spring 2022 Schedule

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond head men's tennis coach Houston Barrick has announced the program's spring 2022 schedule, which opens on Jan. 17 at Wake Forest. The Spiders will play 20 matches including six at home.
Richmond remains on the road after its season opener for seven more matches. The Spiders face Virginia on Jan. 20 before taking on Atlantic 10 opponent Duquesne Feb. 4. They will then stay at Duquesne to face Mount St. Mary's Feb. 5.
After that, Richmond heads to Navy for a pair of matches beginning with Bryant Feb. 11 and then host Navy Feb. 12. The Spiders then travel to William & Mary Feb. 18 and Delaware Feb. 25 before finally playing on their home court.
Richmond hosts Furman Feb. 27 for the team's first home match of the season, then heads back out on the road to begin month of March. The Spiders travel to James Madison March 4 and Methodist March 6 before returning home to host Rice March 14. Richmond then heads to Saint Joseph's for back-to-back matches, first against Fordham March 25 and then against host St. Joe's March 26.
Four of Richmond's six matches in April are at home, beginning with three straight home matches. The Spiders welcome Georgetown to Richmond April 1 before hosting George Mason April 3 and Longwood April 6.
Then, Richmond travels to Davidson to face Dayton April 9 and host Davidson April 10.
The Spiders close out the regular season at home on April 15 against St. Bonaventure.
The A-10 Championships take place April 28-May 1 in Orlando, Fla.
