Budnik Named World Exposure Report Semifinalist For Freshman of The Year

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond freshman forward Addie Budnik (Highland Park, Ill.) was named a semifinalist for Freshman of the Year by World Exposure Report, announced Monday. Budnik is one of 25 semifinalists.
The 10 finalists will be announced on March 15th before the winner is announced on April 9 as part of the other "World Exposure Report" awards.
Budnik, a three-time Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honoree, is second on the team in scoring at 11.8 points per game and third in rebounding at 5.0 rebounds per game. Budnik leads the Atlantic 10 with 60 blocks, which is seventh in the nation. Her 60 blocks are ranked second all-time in a single-season at Richmond. She had a career-high six blocks against Howard and five blocks against George Mason.
The Highland Park, Ill. native has scored in double-figures in 14 of 20 games this season. Budnik leads the team in free throw percentage at 87.2 percent on 34-for-39 from the line. She is also second on the team with 22 three-pointers made. Budnik scored a career-high 23 points against William & Mary and finished with 21 points against A-10 foe Saint Louis.
