Jack Rusbuldt Named To The Tewaaraton Award Watch List

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond men's lacrosse goalie Jack Rusbuldt (Richmond, Va.) has been named one of the 55 male members of the prestigious Tewaaraton Award Watch List, which annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States.
Rusbuldt becomes the fifth Spider in the eight-year history of the Richmond men's lacrosse program to be named to the watch list. He joins the likes of teammate Ryan Lanchbury (2020) along with former Spiders Teddy Hatfield (2019), Benny Pugh (2017) and Mitch Goldberg (2016).
Rusbuldt has posted 52 saves in the first four games of the year, ranking 14th in the nation in saves per game at 13.00. His .536 save percentage leads the Southern Conference and ranks No. 23 in the country. He has posted 19 saves against No. 2 North Carolina earlier this season, which ranks fourth most in a single game this season in all of NCAA Division I men's lacrosse. His 19 saves also ranks second most in a single game in program history, behind his own record of 22 set in 2020 against Notre Dame.
Rusbudlt, a transfer from Penn State, is in his fourth season as a Spider. He ranks second all-time in program history with 296 saves while his .556 save percentage also ranks second all-time in a career for a Spider.
The lists include the top players across all three divisions of NCAA lacrosse and highlight the early contenders for the Tewaaraton Award. 2020 marks the 20th anniversary of the Award. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by The Tewaaraton Foundation.
