Women's Cross Country Finishes Seventh at the Atlantic 10 Championship

RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond women's cross country earned a seventh-place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championship Friday morning at Pole Green Park. Spider rookie Elizabeth Stockman (Rocky Hill, Conn.) earned Most Outstanding Rookie Performer honors for her efforts in the five-kilometer race, finishing as the top freshman in the conference in eighth overall.
After Stockman, the Spiders had four top 40 finishers. Caroline Robelen (Glen Allen, Va.) was the next Spider to cross the finish line, taking 26th with a time of 18:22.4. Freshman Manon Stephen (Basking Ridge, N.J.) added a time of 18:25.2 to take 31st, and was shortly followed by Madison Trippett (Parkersburg, W.Va.). Trippett took 35th with a time of 18:33.2.
Tess Pisanelli (Ridgefield, Conn.) turned in a strong performance in her first Atlantic 10 Conference meet, finishing in 18:37.6 to take 38th. Lily Snow (Richmond, Va.) added a time of 19:01.7 to take 57th, and Kendra Smither (Richmond, Va.) was 59th at 19:06.8. Kate Dickow (Lititz, Pa.), Rebecca Fagan (Glen Allen, Va.) and Kathryn Shea (Hartford, Conn.) rounded out the Spider runners, finishing with times of 20:12.2, 20:23.2 and 20:31.5, respectively.
