Spider Hockey Signee Nichols Earns NFHCA High School All-Region Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond field hockey incoming freshman Lainey Nichols (Powhatan, Va.) was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association High School All-South Region.
In her prep career at Trinity Episcopal School, Nichols led the squad in scoring as a senior captain this fall.
As a three-year starter at midfield, she also collected First Team All-State and LIS Player of the Year honors, while helping the program to three VISAA and LIS championship final appearances, including winning two-straight VISAA State and LIS Championships.
Nichols will join her older sister Cori on the squad for the 2022 Spider Hockey campaign.
