Duffy, Galvin Earn A-10 Lacrosse Weekly Honors

Newport News, Va.— Kendall Duffy and Delaney Galvin took home this week's Atlantic 10 Player and Defensive Player of the Week honors, as announced by the conference Tuesday.
The pair helped the Spiders earn two more wins last week over William & Mary and Liberty to advance to 3-0 to open the season.
Duffy tallied a goal and an assist in the Spiders' 19-10 win over William & Mary Tuesday before scoring three goals (including the game winner) and adding three assists in the 13-12 overtime win against Liberty.
Between the pipes, Galvin averaged 11 goals allowed over the two games while fending off 28 shots to help keep the Spiders perfect. She scooped four ground balls against William & Mary and one against Liberty.
The Spiders return home to Robins Stadium Friday at noon when it looks to remain unbeaten against #16 Stanford.
