Spiders Defeat St. Bonaventure in Regular Season Finale

RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond Spiders closed out their regular season slate Friday afternoon with a 5-2 win over Atlantic 10 opponent St. Bonaventure at the Westhampton Tennis Courts. With the win, the Spiders finish the regular season 11-10 overall and 3-3 in conference play.
John Walsh and Campbell Erwin teamed back up in doubles and raced to a 6-0 win, improving to 6-0 at the number one doubles spot and 12-4 overall this season as a duo. Kliebhan and Burke clinched the doubles point shortly after with a 6-1 win on court two.
In singles action, Sebastian Miano did not lose a game, defeating his opponent 6-0, 6-0 on court five. Walsh, Erwin, and Alex Wernink all picked up singles wins as well to clinch the match for Richmond.
The Spiders return to action at the A-10 Championships in Orlando, Fla. The tournament takes place April 28-May 1 at the USTA National Campus.
