Elbeery Named A-10 Rookie of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond freshman Jake Elbeery (North Andover, Mass.) has been named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Elbeery put together a 10-for-19 (.526) week at the plate with a walk, scored four runs and collected five RBI. In the Spiders 10-2 win at James Madison (April 19), he posted a career-high five-for-five day at the plate with two RBI.
Elbeery tallied five hits in the GW series, with three RBI, including two in the ninth on Sunday, and scored twice in the Spiders Saturday victory over the Colonials.
Richmond is on the road in Atlantic 10 action this week, heading to New York to take on St. Bonaventure for three starting Friday April 29. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. on ESPN+.
