Frank, Keppel Named to NFHCA Collegiate Watch List

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond field hockey seniors Lindsey Frank and Tess Keppel were named to the 2022 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Collegiate Watch List, the organization announced.
Frank, a native of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., leads the Spiders with 12 points through seven games on four goals and four assists. A 2022 Preseason All-Atlantic 10 Conference selection, she had a season-high four-point game in the Spiders 6-1 victory over Towson (Sept. 4) tallying a goal and two assists.
The Spiders A-10 leading offense that averages 3.14 goals per game is tenth nationally and UR's 22 total goals have been scored by nine different Spiders. Richmond's league-leading 2.29 assists per game ranks 17th nationally.
Keppel, a native of Baltimore, Md., leads the A-10 with all three of UR's defensive saves and ranks fourth nationally as an individual and 10th as a team. Keppel, a two-time A-10 Defensive Player of the Week honoree this season, is third on the squad with seven points on two goals, including a penalty stroke, and three assists.
The Spiders head to the Midwest for the first of two-straight road weekends. Richmond will take on Saint Louis Friday in Atlantic 10 Conference action at 4 p.m. CT/ 5 p.m. ET. Sunday, the Spiders will head north to take on No. 1 Northwestern on BIGTEN Network Plus at 12 p.m. CT / 1 p.m. ET in Evanston, Ill.
