Campodonico Tabbed Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The University of Richmond Women's Tennis team has the honor of highlighting junior Andrea Campodonico as this week's Atlantic 10 performer of the week, announced by the league office Tuesday.
Campodonico, a native of Asuncion, Paraguay, was named to the A-10 Preseason All-Conference team earlier this season and helped the Spiders pick up a huge, 5-2, win over Eastern Carolina on Saturday. In the match, the junior defeated Bachir (ECU) 6-3, 3-6, 11-9 (1) on singles court two. In doubles play, Campodonico defeated Bachir/Hussain (ECU), 6-2 on doubles court one alongside junior Polina Shitikova.
The Spiders are back in action on March 1, taking on Longwood on the road before traveling to Texas to take on SMU, TCU and Stephen F. Austin. UR will return home on March 14 against University of the Pacific.
