Track & Field Prepared for Atlantic 10 Championships

Richmond, Va. - The University of Richmond track and field program is headed to the Mackal Field House in Kingston, R.I. for the Atlantic-10 Indoor Track & Field Championships Saturday and Sunday. Information regarding the event can be found here.
Kamryn Ross is set to open the competition up for the Spiders on Saturday with the 60m hurdles and 60m dash preliminaries. She is looking to place high in the rankings to move herself on to the finals which will take place on Sunday.Â
Ross will also compete in the 200m alongside teammates Nina Lavelle and Elke Van der Westhuizen. These three Spiders look to make it past preliminaries on Saturday to compete in the finals on Sunday.Â
Van der Westhuizen and Lavelle will also compete alongside each other in the 400m. They both plan to fight hard to make it to the podium on Sunday.Â
Virginia Beringer and Morgan Crocker are ready to take on the 500m.
Richmond is represented by four Spiders in the 800m: Kyra Keurentjes, Lindsay Colflesh, Caroline Donohoe and Maddie Orr. This event has shown much success for this program in recent meets as the group is looking to make a splash in the final rankings.Â
Another group of four will represent Richmond in the 1K, which is also another event that has been successful for the program: Kayla O'Connell, Kate McAndrew, Dylan Miller and Emily Rzucidlo.Â
Getting into more distance, four more Spiders will be competing in the mile. Elizabeth Stockman, Allison Colflesh, Madison Trippett and Lily Snow.Â
The 3k will be packed with action for Richmond as Elizabeth Stockman, Brooke Reif and Paige Joyce take part.
Trippett continues with a busy weekend as she is set to compete in the 5k alongside teammates Laurel Kurtz, Anna George and Manon Stephen.Â
Molly Wise and Morgan Crocker plan to compete in the long-jump, hoping to get Richmond on the podium for the event.Â
Chosen Spiders will also compete in the 4x400, 4x800 and the DMR. Those details will be announced at a later time.
