Frank Named Female Athlete of the Year at RVA Sports Awards Ceremony

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond senior Lindsey Frank was named the Kings Dominion Female Athlete of the Year at the second annual RVA Sports Awards Saturday night at the Altria Theater.
A two-sport standout with the field hockey and women's lacrosse program, Frank was the leading scorer for both Spider women's lacrosse and Spider field hockey in 2022, earning First Team All-Atlantic 10 honors in both sports. During the spring, Frank led the Richmond lacrosse team to a 14-4 record while recording 72 points in 18 games and finishing second in the conference in goals per game. This fall, Frank led Richmond field hockey with a career-high 21 points. In addition to All-Conference honors, Frank was also named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-South Region Second Team for a second straight season.
Also, longtime Richmond Spiders fan and the "Mayor of Richmond Sports" Will Daniel was also recognized for his contributions to athletics in the region at the event.
Frank and the women's lacrosse program kick off the 2023 season on the road, taking on Queens University of Charlotte, Saturday February 11 at 11 a.m.
