Rodriguez Named Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond Baseball's Esteban Rodriguez has been named Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week, the league announced Monday. This is Rodriguez' first career weekly honor and the squad's third league weekly accolade this season.
In the Spiders 3-2 win over St. John's Friday, Rodriguez tossed four complete shutout innings in relief allowing two hits and a walk while striking out a season-high eight to collect his first save on the season.
On the season, Rodriguez leads the A-10 with a 1.93 ERA and 0.93 WHIP. He has a 2-0 record with one save in seven relief appearances, scattering six earned runs on 20 hits and six walks over 28 innings of work for Richmond.
The Spiders (11-13) are back in action Tuesday, March 28, hosting Longwood at Pitt Field. First pitch is set for 2:30 p.m. on ESPN+.
