Spiders Celebrate Senior Day with Win Over Duquesne

Richmond, Va. - The University of Richmond Women's Lacrosse team dominated in the win against Duquesne as they celebrated eleven seniors prior to the opening draw. This was Richmond's final regular season contest.
The Spiders held the Dukes to zero scores through the entirety of the first half while they found the back of the net 14 times, controlling a 14-0 lead heading into the break. Duquesne found their first goal in the third quarter as Richmond met them at 2, giving the Spiders a 16-1 advantage going into the final quarter. Richmond outscored their opponents 4-3 in the final period, wrapping up the game with a score of 20-4, a 16 point margin.
Arden Tierney played a complete game, hitting yet another major milestone for the Richmond history books. Tierney had 5 points that came from 2 goals and 3 assists. Along with her scoring, Tierney collected 15 draw controls as she became the new program record holder for career draw controls. Her career total now sits at 370 as she surpassed Caroline Queally who originally held the record at 362.
Lindsey Frank found success in many different areas of the game as she walked away with 4 goals off of just 5 shots, a .800 shooting percentage on the day. She also forced 2 caused turnovers and found 5 draw controls.
Colleen Quinn ended the game with 4 points that came from 2 goals and 2 assists. With only 3 shots taken, her shooting percentage of the day was .667.Â
Emilie Bloyer had a shutdown game in the goal as she played through the entirety of the first half. With 4 saves through the two opening quarters, she allowed zero goals to slip past her.Â
Kat Kelley and Grace Muldoon each contributed with 2 goals a piece. Kelley played a great defensive game as well with 3 ground balls.Â
Ali Susskind, Maggie O'Brien, Marymargaret Quinn, Juliana Stanley and Alexis Morton each scored individual goals.
