Spiders Fall to No. 4 JMU

Harrisonburg, Va. -Â The University of Richmond Women's Lacrosse team fell to the No. 4 ranked JMU Dukes on Wednesday by a score of 20-10.
Going into the half-time break, Richmond sat at a five point deficit with the 11-6 JMU advantage. From there, the Spiders were not able to climb back as JMU knocked through nine goals in the second half compared to Richmond's four, finalizing the game in a 20-10 Spiders loss.Â
Lindsey Frank and Arden Tierney each grabbed 4 points that came from 3 assists and 1 goal. Tierney was also able to contribute with 7 draw controls and 1 caused turnover. Frank scooped 3 ground balls, 3 draw controls and forced 1 caused turnover.Â
Sophia DiCenso, Colleen Quinn and Alexis Morton each found the back of the net for 2 goals each. DiCenso found 2 ground balls, a draw control and accounted for 1 caused turnover.Â
Grace Muldoon and Leah Kenny scored individual goals. Muldoon forced 1 caused turnover and scooped 1 ground ball.
Hannah Custer played strong defense walking away with 3 caused turnovers and 5 ground balls.Â
