Milestones Met in Victory Over La Salle

Richmond, Va. - The University of Richmond Women's Lacrosse team took the 18-6 victory over La Salle on Saturday, capitalizing to meet milestones for two key veterans.Â
As the game sat at a 6-3 Richmond advantage at the half, they improved on both sides of the ball after the break allowing only 3 La Salle goals and scoring 12 of their own in the second half.
Arden Tierney completed two of those marks for herself and the program. With 5 points coming from 2 goals and 3 assists, Tierney surpassed 200 career points, now sitting at 204. With 17 draw controls in the victory, Tierney also claimed her spot in the Richmond history books as she set the new single season draw control program record to 122 (previously set by Caroline Queally in 2018 at 107). With 3 regular-season games left to play and a hopeful off-season, Tierney looks to keep adding to her stat sheet.Â
Lindsey Frank tallied 3 points from 2 goals and 1 assist, setting 200 career points. With this accomplishment under her belt, she was also able to successfully play the defensive end of the field with 5 draw controls, 3 ground balls and a forced turnover.Â
Colleen Quinn showed out on offense as she found the back of the net 6 times from only 8 shots, shooting .750 in the game. Her shooting percentage now sits at .632 on the year which is one of the best averages on the team. She is the third highest scorer for the Spiders this season as the sophomore now has 53 points on the year, following right behind veterans Tierney (59) and Frank (56).Â
Grace Muldoon contributed heavily to the victory with 5 points that came from 2 goals and 3 assists.Â
Ali Susskind, Sophia DiCenso, Marymargaret Quinn, Alexis Morton, Maggie Jordan and Leah Kenny all finished with individual goals, contributing to the 6 other Richmond scores.Â
Emilie Bloyer adds another win to her resume as she roped in 5 saves and allowed only 4 goals. Her record now improves to 6-1.Â
Up next, the Spiders will travel to Washington, D.C. to match up with George Washington on Saturday, April 15 at 1:00 p.m..
