Jeremy Neff Named Atlantic 10 Pitcher of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond Baseball's Jeremy Neff has been named Atlantic 10 Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon. This is Neff's first weekly league honor while collecting the Spider pitching staff's fourth of the season. Overall, Richmond has had six different players collect weekly league honors this season.
In the second game of the Saturday (Apr 29) doubleheader at George Mason, Neff tossed six hitless frames with no runs allowed in a 7-0 victory for Richmond. He struck out five while walking four and hitting one batter. The Spiders combined no-hitter, with top reliever Kyle Subers, was broken up with one out in the ninth.
On the season, Neff is 3-0 in eight starts with a 2.78 ERA over 35.2 innings of action. He's only allowed 11 runs on 22 hits with 13 walks and 35 strikeouts.
Richmond is back in Atlantic 10 action this weekend, hosting St. Bonaventure at Pitt Field, May 5-7, over Spider Baseball Alumni Weekend. First pitch for Friday, May 5 is set for 2 p.m. on ESPN+. Alumni from the 1972 and 1995 teams will be recognized prior to Saturday's 1 p.m. contest. The series finale will take place, Sunday with first pitch set for noon.
