RICHMOND, Va. — Jack Fahed, who served as Video Coordinator for Richmond Spiders Men's Basketball last season, has been elevated to Director of Program Development, the team announced Thursday.
"Jack has had an outsized impact on our program since he arrived at Richmond last year, contributing to our recruiting, scouting, and analytics operations," said Head Coach Chris Mooney. "I'm thrilled to have him as our Director of Program Development and I'm excited to see how he will continue to positively affect Spider Basketball in this new role."
Fahed (fay-HEAD) originally joined the Richmond coaching staff in June 2022 after spending the 2021-22 season as a graduate assistant at James Madison, his alma mater. Last season, Fahed managed all aspects of UR's video operations and also contributed to opponent scouting and player recruitment. In his new role, Fahed will serve as the team's liaison to the Academics, Business, and Compliance offices of Richmond Athletics while managing internal scheduling and supervising student managers.
Fahed earned an undergraduate degree in Business Management from JMU in 2021 and served as a team manager for the Dukes men's basketball team for four years. He was promoted to head manager prior to his senior season in 2020-21.
