Women’s Basketball Adds Graduate Transfer Faye Parker to 2023-24 Roster

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond Head Women's Basketball Coach Aaron Roussell announced on Friday the addition of graduate transfer Faye Parker to the 2023-24 roster.

"I am incredibly pumped to get to coach Faye in her final collegiate season," Roussell said. "We vigorously recruited her five years ago before her time at Penn, and we know her best basketball days are ahead of her. Faye has played for incredible coaches, and I feel strongly that her background and playing experience in the Ivy League has prepared her to stand out within our system."

2022-23 (Senior)

Played in 20 games, starting in one
Averaged 4.9 minutes per game, totaling 35 rebounds, 15 points, 12 blocks, four assists, and two steals.
Scored a season-high five points against Princeton (3/3).
Had a career-high seven rebounds against Richmond (3/16) during first round of WNIT.
Had a season-high three blocks against Princeton (3/3) and Richmond (3/16).

2021-22 (Junior)

Played in 11 games with one start, averaging 5.9 minutes per game.
Totaled 17 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks for season.
Opened season at Hartford (11/14) with five points and four rebounds, both of which were her collegiate firsts.
First collegiate start was at Bucknell (12/3).
Scored a career-best seven points at home against Ursinus (12/30), shooting 3-for-4 from the floor.

2020-21 (Sophomore)

All 2020-21 Ivy League winter sports were canceled on November 12, 2020 due to a nationwide outbreak of coronavirus COVID-19.

2019-20 (Freshman)

Made two appearances during her freshman season.
Logged playing time in wins over Siena (Nov. 9) and Stetson (Dec. 7).
Dished her first career assist against the Hatters.

PRIOR TO PENN

Attended Tabor Academy
Was a three-year starter for Coach Will Becker.
Earned spot on Great Britain's U20 team for the 2019 FIBA European Championships.
Named All-ISL in 2018 and 2019.
Won the Joan V Roller Award for dedication to team and sport.
Led school in blocks per game .
Advanced to championship of Class AA NEPSAC Tournament.
Played one year at Swampscott, named a Salem News All-Star.
Played one year with the Boston Showstoppers, winning the Adidas Gauntlet gold bracket and getting named to the Gym Rats All-Tournament Team.
Graduated Cum Laude.
