Jaffe Named Collegiate Baseball Freshman, Jewish Baseball News All-American Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond Baseball's Jordan Jaffe has been named to the 2023 Collegiate Baseball Freshmen All-American team, powered by Diamond Sports, the organization announced June 7. Jewish Baseball News relased their NCAA Divison I All-America Team Friday June 16.
Jaffe becomes the 11th Spider in program history to collect the honor and the first since outfielder Tanner Stanley in 2013. Stanley, like Jaffe, was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year that season.
The third baseman wrapped up the 2023 season with 64 hits, including 20 doubles, one triple and 12 home runs, while pacing the team with 59 RBI for a .314 batting average. He also put together .598 slugging and .391 on base percentages. Among the Atlantic 10, Jaffe ranks second in RBI and third in doubles and doubles per game.
The Thousand Oaks, Calif., native had 19 multi-RBI and multi-hit contests. Jaffe was named A-10 Rookie of the Week April 17 after he registered seven hits, including three home runs and two doubles, with six RBI and five runs scored against UMass. In four road games, he batted .467 with a 1.200 slugging percentage.
In 23 starts against conference opponents, Jaffe hit .350 with 35 hits, including nine doubles, nine home runs and a triple, with 34 RBI and 10 walks.
