Spiders Roll Past William & Mary Inside Robins Center Thursday Night

RICHMOND, Va. – Behind a combined 24 points from Anna Camden and Maggie Doogan, the University of Richmond women's basketball team posted an 82-47 win over visiting William & Mary Thursday night inside the Robins Center. With the win, the Spiders move to 5-0 on the season and secured their 24th-straight home win dating back to the 2022-23 season while the Tribe fell to 1-4.

How it Happened
Rachel Ullstrom began the scoring for the Spiders, posting a triple 13 seconds into the contest. W&M responded on the other end with a triple before Ally Sweeney sparked a 9-0 run to put Richmond ahead 12-3. After exchanging points, the Tribe cut the lead to 17-16 before Doogan ended the first quarter with UR leading 18-16 after making a free throw.
Doogan opened the second 10 minutes with a triple and followed the play with a layup after two W&M free throws. Sam Dewey began a 12-0 run courtesy of efforts by Alicia Newell, Ullstrom and Camden to build a 15-point lead, 35-20. Ullstrom and Addie Budnik ended the half for the Spiders with three points as Richmond went into the locker room leading 38-24.
In the third, Katie Hill and Ullstrom combined for four points for a 42-26 advantage before the Tribe whittled away at the lead, going on a 6-0 run to come within ten, 42-32. Budnik got the Spiders back into an offensive rhythm with two back-to-back layups for a 46-32 UR lead. After the Tribe posted a lone free throw, Richmond went on a 11-0 run sparked by Camden to push the Spiders to 59-35. Steph Ouderkirk, Camden and Newell rounded out the quarter with a combined seven points to go into the final 10 minutes leading 66-37.

Courtney Swider netted the final points for Richmond in the game with a trey as the Spiders ran away with the 82-47 win.
