Spider Baseball Adds 14 Newcomers to 2025-26 Roster

RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond baseball head coach Mik Aoki has announced the addition of 14 newcomers to the 2025-26 roster. The future Spiders head to Richmond from all over the country including Texas, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, New Jersey, Maryland and Massachusetts, as well as three from Virginia and four from Pennsylvania.
Ten pitchers, Caden Blanck, Christian Dray, Brenner Green, Noah Haught, Keane Hyer, Chase Lawley, Dom Ruggiero, Aaron Van Tyuyle, Evan Wilson and Tripp Woytowicz are set to head to Pitt Field for the 2025-26 academic year. Infielders, Noah Harvey and Cole Rhame join outfielders Joe Crenshaw and Chris Schaller round out the recruiting class.
Caden Blanck | LHP | Annapolis, Md.
A four-year varsity starter on the hill for the Severn School Admiral baseball program, Blanck has collected two team MVP and two All-MIAA accolades. He ranked in the top four in strikeouts in the state of Maryland, 84 and 89 strikeouts respectively, in each of the last two seasons. Pitching for the US Elite 2025 Mid-Atlantic summer baseball team in 2024, Blanck put together a 0.51 ERA, 0.54 WHIP, striking out 68, only allowing 10 walks and nine hits with two earned runs over 35 innings on the mound.
Joe Crenshaw | C/OF | Atlanta, Ga.
Crenshaw will serve as The Lovett School baseball program's team captain in 2025 after helping the Lions to two regional championships, a Georgia State Final Four appearance and a 50-18 record in three-year starter. He has twice collected All-Region First Team and Preseason All-State First Team accolades as well as All-First Team honors with a career .380 batting average in three prep seasons. With the Atlanta Lightening this past summer, Crenshaw hit .411 with seven doubles, five triples and six home runs to post a .542 on-base percentage and .767 slugging in 90 at-bats.
Christian Dray | RHP | McLean, Va.
Set to be a four-year letterman in spring 2025 for the McLean Highlanders, Dray helped the program to a Virginia Class 6 State title in 2024. Dray was nominated to play in the Commonwealth Tournament for Virginia and helped both summer ball teams, Stars and PrimeTime, to win multiple Perfect Game tournaments.
Brenner Green | RHP | Penn Valley, Pa.
A two-way player for The Haverford School Fords baseball program, Green will head to the mound full time for the Spiders. Green will serve as a senior captain in his fourth varsity season after putting up a .370 average with five home runs to earn Second Team All-Interac honors. He also is a three-year varsity squash player for the Fords.
Noah Harvey | INF | Cinnaminson, N.J.
A shortstop for the Cinnaminson Buccaneers, Harvey will serve as a team captain for a second-straight season when he hits the dirt in the spring. He was named to the BCSL First Team and an All-Burlington County Carpenter Cup selection after putting up a .400 batting average, .631 slugging and .547 slugging percentages as a junior. Harvey is also a four-year member of the Buccaneer basketball team, collecting BCSL First Team honors as a junior and sophomore and BCSL Second Team honors as a freshman.
Noah Haught | RHP/INF | Arlington, Va.
Haught heads into his fourth-varsity season with the Bishop O'Connell High Knights baseball program as an infielder and right-handed pitcher. While playing for the Knights, Haught collected First Team All-WCAC and First Team All-State honors.
Keane Hyer | LHP | Tampa, Fla.
Hyer is set to help the Jesuit High Tigers to defend the program's 2024 Florida State Championship this spring. The lefty also helped the Tigers program to finish the 2023-24 academic year ranked third in the state of Florida and 24th nationally.
Chase Lawley | RHP | Hoover, Ala.
A member of the Hoover High Buccaneers baseball program, Lawley heads to the mound for his fourth season this spring. Lawley also played summer ball with the East Coast Sox.
Cole Rhame | INF | Austin, Texas
Heading into his senior season, Rhame will serve as team captain of the Lake Travis High Cavaliers this spring. With the Cavaliers, he has collected two letters, Academic All-State and Lake Travis High Offensive Player of the Year honors. Over his prep career, he has helped the LTH baseball program to three-straight district championships, a regional final in 2022, a regional quarter final in 2023 and a bi-district final in 2024.
Dom Ruggiero | LHP | Royersford, Pa.
Heading into his fourth season on the mound as a varsity member of the Spring-Ford High baseball program, Ruggiero looks to help the Rams return to the district title game. The lefty helped the Rams to a District 1 Championship and Pennsylvania State quarterfinal appearances in 2023.
Chris Schaller | OF | Garnet Valley, Pa.
A three-year varsity starting outfielder for the Garnet Valley High baseball program, Schaller looks to patrol centerfield for the Jaguars in the spring. As a junior, Schaller slashed .439 BA / 1.268 OPS / .510 OBS with four home runs on his way to collect First Team All-Central League and First Team All-Delco honors. During the summer, he played travel baseball with the Elite National and CBG Scout Teams.
Aaron Van Tuyle | RHP | Leesburg, Va.
A three-year starting pitcher for the Heritage High baseball program, Van Tuyle was named team MVP in 2023 as he helped the Pride to a Dulles District Regular Season Championship. He also collected All-Dulles District First Team, All-4C Region First Team, and All-State Virginia Class 4 Second Team accolades. Van Tuyle is also a four-year varsity swimmer for the Pride boys team, hitting Region 4C Championship and Class 4 Virginia State Championship qualifying marks.
Evan Wilson | RHP | Lancaster, Pa.
A three-year starter for the Conestoga Valley High baseball program, Wilson is set to toe the rubber for the Buckskin in the spring. With the CVH program, Wilson collected First Team All Lancaster Lebanon League Section 2 and CVH MVP honors. In the summer, he performed against top prep competition and in front of MLB scouts in Jupiter, Florida, with the All-Star Sports Academy 2025 Navy squad.
Tripp Woytowicz | RHP | Longmeadow, Mass.
In his fourth letterman season, Woytowicz looks to help Deerfield Academy repeat as CNEPSBL Champions from the mound. As a junior, he earned All-CNEPSBL League and All-NEPSAC honors after helping Deerfield Academy to a 16-4 record and finished the season with a Number 1 ranking in the New England Baseball Journal. He is also a four-year letterman in hockey and an individual qualifier for the Massachusetts State Golf Tournament as a sophomore.
