Richmond Baseball Drops Saturday Contest to Cornell

DJ Pacheco launched his third home run in his third-straight game to lead off the first inning over the left field wall. Richmond also got a run over in the fifth and had runners on in the last four innings but were unable to get them past second.
Jordan Jaffe launched his first home run of the season as a pinch hitter to lead off the ninth.
Cornell tallied three runs off UR starter Brian Reinke in the fourth, connecting four hits to score three runs. Reinke took the loss, allowing eight hits, walking one and striking out four over four and a third of an inning.
Davis Wallon threw an inning of relief, walking one, hitting one batter and striking out one, to bridge the staff from Reinke to Esteban Rodriguez. Rodriguez allowed six runs on eight hits, a walk and struck out four over three and two-thirds of an inning.
