Reinke Named A-10 Pitcher of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond starting pitcher Brian Reinke was named Atlantic 10 Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. This is Reinke's and the Spiders first weekly award of the 2024 season.
In his start Saturday against Sacred Heart, Reinke struck out a career-high 10 batters, allowed two hits and three walks over a career-high six innings of work in the no decision. Richmond broke up the pitcher's duel in the seventh on Aaron Whitley's solo home run and collected a 2-0 victory.
In three starts over 15 innings of work, Reinke holds a 4.20 ERA, with 19 total strikeouts which is the fifth-best total in the league. He is also ranks sixth with 1.80 walks allowed per nine innings.
