Cross Country Set for Season-Opening Spider Alumni Open

RICHMOND, Va.— Richmond cross country will open its 2024 season Saturday in Mechanicsville, Va. when the program hosts the Spider Alumni Open at Pole Green Park. The men's 6K race will begin at 9:15 AM and the women's 4K race will follow at 9:50 AM. Live results from both races will be available here.
17 different schools will be competing in the event (full list below), which has been held annually since 2002 with the exception of 2020 (COVID-19).
Saturday's race is the first of four for the Spiders during the 2024 regular season. Runners and coaches spoke to SpiderTV about their preseason training and their expectations for Saturday earlier this week.
