Spider Baseball Signs Team IMPACT Hero Parker Plank

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond baseball program is excited to announce the signing of 13-year-old Parker Plank, Team IMPACT athlete, for the 2024-25 season.
Parker, a native of Richmond, has been battling Leukemia for the past two years at University of Virginia Children's Hospital in Charlottesville. Parker and his parents Marty and Janet stopped by Pitt Field to officially sign his letter of intent to join the Spider baseball program.
Team IMPACT has created relationships that have enhanced the lives of thousands of courageous children and touched the lives of tens of thousands of student athletes across the country. The team behind Team IMPACT is honored and inspired to continue to expand the long-standing tradition of athletes contributing to something far greater than themselves.
The student athletes in the program extend their commitment to their team, to each other, to provide sick children in their local community a profound sense of belonging, by demonstrating their steadfast support for each and every member of the team through adversity both on and off the field.
