Hunt to Miss Approximately 8 Weeks With Fractured Foot

RICHMOND, Va. — Guard DeLonnie Hunt fractured his left foot during Wednesday's game at George Mason and will miss approximately eight weeks, Spider men's basketball announced Friday.
Hunt, Richmond's lone team captain, currently leads the Spiders in scoring (16.8 points per game), minutes (35.5 per game), assists (2.9 per game), and steals (2.2 per game). He ranks among the Atlantic 10's leaders in scoring (eighth), free throw percentage (seventh), steals per game (third), and minutes per game (third). Hunt's 6.4 made free throws per game lead the A-10 and rank among the top 10 in all of Division I.
Hunt left Wednesday's game with 3:24 remaining after injuring his foot on a drive to the basket a minute earlier. He did not return to the game.
Hunt is Richmond's sole returning starter from last year's team, which won the program's first Atlantic 10 regular season championship. A 2023 transfer from Wagner, where he played his first three seasons and was named the NEC Rookie of the Year in 2021, Hunt scored his 1,000th collegiate point earlier this season at Charlotte.
Richmond will host Rhode Island at the Robins Center Saturday at 6 PM. The game will be broadcast on ESPN Plus.
