O’Brien Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond baseball graduate student Brady O'Brien has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday. The award recognizes student-athletes for their combined excellence on the field and in the classroom.
O'Brien, a native of North Andover, Mass., finished the season ninth in the nation with a .777 slugging percentage and 11th in the country in both home runs (20) and RBI (72). The 2025 Dick Howser Trophy semifinalist wrapped up the year on a 22-game streak reaching base, 25 multi-hit games, and 19 multi-RBI games, including two games with more than five RBI. O'Brien hit 17 of his 20 home runs against league pitchers, while hitting .367, with a 1.313 OPS and slugging .898 with 47 hits, 15 doubles, 12 walks and 51 RBI in league games. The Spider third baseman was named to the Atlantic 10 Conference All-Academic Team in May.
To qualify for CSC Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in 66 percent of the institution's games.
