ST. LOUIS – The University of Richmond baseball team put together an eighth inning rally to break up the scoreless matchup against Saint Louis and collected a 2-0 victory Friday afternoon at the Billikens Sports Center. This is the squad's third shutout of the season and eighth A-10 series victory.
Richmond, now 32-22 on the year and 19-10 in Atlantic 10 action, and Saint Louis, 20-33 on the year and 11-18 in league play, will close out the conference series and the regular season Saturday at Billikens Sports Center with first pitch set for 12 p.m. ct / 1 p.m. et.

Justin Gay got the strike out to collect his second-straight save in as many days and seventh on the year.
The Spiders had only one runner reach prior to the final third of the game. Noah Haught was stranded after getting plunked in the third.
In the seventh, RJ Johnson Jr. reached after drawing a two-out walk. He advanced to second on a failed pickoff attempt by SLU's starting pitcher but was stranded.
