Three Spiders Named to 2026 CSC Academic All-District Baseball Team

RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond Baseball's Dylan Winebrenner, RJ Johnson Jr., and Jackson Hinchliffe were named to the 2026 Academic All-District NCAA Division I Baseball Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), the organization released earlier this week. The CSC Academic All-America program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Winebrenner, who was selected as a CSC Academic All-America finalist, led the Spiders squad offensively. The Frederick, MD native finished the season second in the league in hit by pitch (21), third in slugging percentage (.645) and sixth in home runs (16), batting average (.359) and on base percentage (.470), seventh in hits (78) and eighth in runs (60). The Atlantic 10 All-Conference first team honoree graduated with a Master of Liberal Arts degree in May.
Hinchliffe, the Spiders Sunday starter, finished the season topping the league with a 1.12 WHIP (1.09) throwing 70.2 innings, for a 4-6 record. A Fair Haven, NJ native, he toed the rubber 16 times, making every start he was scheduled for, ranking tenth in the nation. Hinchliffe finished his junior year and majoring in finance at Richmond.
Johnson, Jr. made 43 starts in 53 appearances in the outfield this season. The Franklin, NC native finished the regular season fourth on the team with a .323 average on 52 hits, 13 doubles, and eight home runs, with 42 RBI, 22 walks and 15 hit by pitches. He earned a graduate degree in Human Resources Management in May from UR.
