Kiana Walker joined Russ Huesman's staff ahead of the 2024 season as the Football Operations and Personnel Assistant, supporting the day-to-day operations and management of Spiders Football.
A native of Denver, Walker played college basketball at nearby Virginia State. While recovering from an ACL tear, Walker served as the Social Media Manager for the football and volleyball teams, conducting the teams'Â first-ever postgame interviews, and worked as a Student Assistant for Gameday Football Operations.
Walker earned her undergraduate degree from VSU in Health, Fitness, & Physical Education with a Sport Management minor in fall 2022 and earned a Master’s of Sport Leadership from VCU in 2024.
While completing her graduate degree, Walker was the Student-Athlete Performance & Development Graduate Assistant at Richmond, where she provided guidance and mentorship to student-athletes, helping them enhance their leadership skills, foster character development and navigate the challenges of balancing academics and athletics.Â
