HUNTINGTON, W. Va. - The University of Richmond women's tennis team was edged out, 4-3, by Marshall University in Huntington, W. Va. Friday afternoon. The Spiders' record falls to 5-6, with the loss, while the Herd improves to 10-3 on the season.
Marshall grabbed the doubles point and early 1-0 lead. Lindsay Cox (Finchampstead, UK) and Robin Carter (Mendham, N.J.) recorded the Spiders final two points in singles action.
The Spiders return to the courts Saturday, March 21 when they take on Eastern Michigan at 10 a.m.
