HUNTINGTON, W. Va. -- The University of Richmond women's tennis team fell to Eastern Michigan, 5-2, Saturday morning in a match that was played at Marshall University in Huntington, W. Va. The Spiders' overall record falls to 5-7 with the loss.
Richmond won the doubles point and claimed the 1-0 lead. Doubles partners Patty Devlin (York, Pa.) won, 9-7 and Courtney Klein (East Amherst, N.Y.) and Robin Carter (Mendham, N.J.) posted the 8-6 win.
In singles action, Carter won at the number four position and recorded Richmond's only point.
The Spiders are back in action when they host George Mason on Tuesday, March 23 at 2 p.m.
