UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond women's tennis team defeated Broward Community College, 8-1, Monday afternoon in its first match during spring break in Florida. The Spiders' overall record improves to 3-5, with the win.
Richmond clinched two points in doubles action, with wins from partners Beatrice Grasu (Reisterstown, Md.) and Lindsay Cox (Finchampstead, UK) and Courtney Klein (East Amherst, N.Y.) and Robin Carter (Mendham, N.J.). The Spiders moved on and swept the singles matches.
Richmond returns to the courts in Florida Wednesday, March 10 at 3 p.m.
