Duran And Vosters Pick Up Multiple Victories At ITA Regional Championships

NORFOLK, Va. - Juniors Pamela Duran and Ashlee Vosters each won a singles match and teamed up to win two doubles matches at the ITA Regional Championships hosted by Old Dominion over the weekend.
Duran received a bye in the first round and defeated UConn's Kelley LoRusso 6-0, 6-0 in the round of 64. Duran lost to Penn's Charlie Tansil 6-4, 6-3 in the round of 32.
Vosters defeated Yale's Jessie Rhee 6-3, 6-2 in the round of 128 and lost to Penn's Julia Koulbitshaya 7-5, 7-5 in the round of 64.
Duran and Vosters teamed up to defeat Radford's Camila Noldin and Ivan Tomaic 8-4 in the round of 64 and knocked off UConn's Ali Campitiello and Kelly LoRusso 8-2 in the round of 32. Duran and Vosters played the No. 2 seeds Kate Kosminskaya and Julia Koulbitskaya of Penn close in the round of 16, but lost 9-7.
Richmond's Kelly Tidwell lost to Radford's Ivan Tomaic in three sets, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 in the round of 128.
The ITA Regional Championships marked the last tournament of the fall for the Spiders. Richmond returns to the court on Jan. 26 at Virginia.
