UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond head coach Allison Evans is slated to speak at the 2013 US Lacrosse National Convention Jan. 11-13 in Philadelphia.
This will be her second time presenting at this annual event. Evans will be presenting "Tips for Successful Dodging," a breakout session focused on dodging and drills to help players refine the skill.
"I am really excited to have been invited back to present at this year's national convention," Evans said. "The convention draws coaches from all levels, fans of the game, and supporters who are dedicated to both continuing to learn and grow the sport of lacrosse. To be apart of an event like this is an honor."
Evans was a standout midfielder for the Tribe, earning All-CAA honors twice in her career (2002, 2003). Evans was a captain her senior season, and finished her stellar collegiate career with 116 points. In 2006, Evans was named to the prestigious US National Elite Team and also served as a coach's trainer for the US Lacrosse organization.
The US Lacrosse National Convention, presented by Champion, annually draws upwards of 5,000 participants, and it includes four live demonstration areas, approximately 150 educational sessions, and the US Lacrosse Fan Fest, a portion of events open to the public and centered around the sport's largest exposition hall.
