Barry Takes UR's 2nd Rookie A-10 Swimmer Award

Richmond freshman swimmer Erin Barry (Millington, New Jersey) was awarded the Atlantic 10 Conference Women's Rookie of the Week, the second-straight week that a Spider has captured the honor.
Barry won two individual events Friday and two Saturday at the Spiders defeated Davidson in day one and George Mason in day two at the Richmond Duals over the weekend.
Barry won the 100 Breast and 200 Breast in both days, improving her 200 time from Friday to Saturday by a half-second in the victories to aid Richmond's pair of wins. Barry now has five wins for the Spiders after taking a 100 Breast event on October 11 at UNC Wilmington.
Barry joins Annie Lane (Vinton, Virginia) as the two Spiders in two weeks of competition to win a weekly conference award.
Richmond will swim next in a dual meet on Halloween at Liberty, starting at 4 p.m.
