IMPRESSIVE OPENING WEEKEND
The Spiders opened the season with a tough road matchup against the No. 19-ranked American Eagles a week ago in Washington, D.C. Four different Spiders found the back of the cage en route to a 4-1 victory over the nationally ranked Eagles this past Friday.
Richmond then returned home for a scrappy 70-minutes of play with in-state rival William & Mary this past Sunday. After falling behind 1-0 in the 16th minute, the Spiders went on to notch the next two-straight goals to pick up a 2-1 victory over the Tribe to improve to 2-0 on the season going into week two.
SECOND HALF SPIDERS
Outscoring their opponents, 6-2, so far this season, the Spiders have been flawless in the second half. In the final 35 minutes of play, Richmond has blanked its opponents, 4-0, in just two games.
