Sixteen Spiders Named to Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Academic Squad

RICHMOND, Va. – Sixteen University of Richmond field hockey student-athletes have earned a spot on the 2019 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA NCAA Division I National Academic Squad.
The Division I National Academic Squad program honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the 2019-2020 academic year.
Seniors Ally Ludwig and Elise Zwicklbauer were honored with the award for the fourth time in their careers. A full list of Spider honorees can be found below.
This announcement comes a week after the squad was bestowed with the Zag Field Hockey/ NFHCA NCAA Division I National Academic Team Award for the 11th-straight year, excelling in the classroom as a team and earning a team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the Fall Semester of the 2019-20 academic year.
Richmond was one of 73 NCAA Division I programs to receive the honor this year. All nine Atlantic 10 programs were honored with the National Academic Team Award this season.
