Special Editions of SpiderTV Broadcasts of 2019-20 Home Games To Be Released
03/22/2020 | Men's Basketball
UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- Starting this week, Richmond Athletics will release special editions of the 13 men's basketball home games produced by SpiderTVÂ this season on RichmondSpiders.com and YouTube. Each game will be edited to remove commercial breaks and timeouts and feature a new introduction from Bob Black, the voice of the Spiders. This week, the Spiders season-opening overtime win against Saint Francis (PA) and Richmond's home finale against Davidson will be released.Â
All games will have Black handling play-by-play duties and Richmond Athletics Hall-of-Famer Greg Beckwith providing analysis with Blake Ellett producing and directing. Per conference regulations, only games produced by SpiderTV can be released digitally.
The Spiders went 14-2 at the Robins Center this season, tied for their fourth-most home wins in a season. Richmond outscored its opponents by an average of 14.3 points per game, it's second-highest home scoring margin in a season since the Robins Center opened in 1972, trailing only the 2000-01 season.Â
Below is the schedule for the release of the games, which will be posted to RichmondSpiders.com and YouTube.
