Hyatt Named Field Hockey Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond freshman Madi Hyatt was selected as the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday.
In Richmond's 5-1 victory over Saint Louis, the Fredericksburg, Va., native scored the Spiders first two goals of the game in the first quarter, connecting with sophomore Regan McCrossan (Waxhaw, N.C.) passes to score.
Hyatt moves to third on the squad with seven points this season, tallying three goals and an assist in five starts at forward for the Spiders in her rookie season.
Richmond wraps up the 2021 spring season Sunday, April 18 when the Spiders host the Wildcats of Davidson at Crenshaw Field. The game is set to start at 12 p.m. on ESPN+.
